Air Canada announced today that it is proposing
to sell US$400,000,000 aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured notes
due 2011 on a private placement basis in the United States under Rule 144A
under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”), and
on a private placement basis in Canada and Europe.
Air Canada will use the net proceeds from the offering to refinance
These notes have not been registered under the Securities Act and may not
be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable
exemption from registration requirements.
