American Airlines Aadvantage® Program Announces Double Miles And Travel Award Sale

FORT WORTH, Texas - American Airlines’ AADVANTAGE program is offering its members the opportunity to earn double miles for travel systemwide on American Airlines, American Eagle or TWA flights from October 2 through November 15, 2001.


The offer applies only to AADVANTAGE members who purchase and fly on published fares. Bonus miles do not count toward elite status qualification. Registration prior to travel is required to earn double miles and can be done online through American’s popular website www.aa.com/offers or by calling AADVANTAGE DIAL-IN at 800-882-8880. The registration code is DBLAA.


In addition, American announced a Travel Award Sale for AADVANTAGE members. AADVANTAGE members can now claim an economy class ticket for travel within the continental United States and Canada for just 15,000 miles. Travel on these awards must be completed by the date shown for each award listed below. Additional information can be found on www.aa.com.


“In response to the events of the past three weeks, American Airlines has focused on building back its schedule and fully supporting new security procedures,” said Mike Gunn, American`s executive vice president, marketing and planning. “It`s now time that we and our customers turn to getting America back to business and these AADVANTAGE promotions are a major step in that direction.”


Also, American Airlines is allowing AADVANTAGE members the unique opportunity to donate their miles to the American Red Cross relief efforts. Members should contact the AADVANTAGE customer service desk for more information.
