FORT WORTH, Texas - American Airlines reported its system-wide traffic decreased 2.3 percent from June 2000, on a capacity increase of 3.0 percent. The system load factor was 75.5 percent, down 4.1 points from a year ago.

International traffic in June was up 2.1 percent on an increase in capacity of 2.4 percent. Domestic traffic was down 4.5 percent on a capacity increase of 3.2 percent.

American boarded 7.4 million passengers, down 4.0 percent from June 2000.
