British Airways and Emirates have signed a code-share agreement covering selected flights between Britain and the United Arab Emirates, offering travellers a wider choice of services and destinations.
This agreement is subject to Government approval.
From December 1, British Airways’ flights between London Heathrow and Abu Dhabi will also carry Emirates’ EK codes, and Emirates services between Manchester and Dubai will also bear the BA flight prefix.
David Noyes, British Airways` Regional Director U.K, Middle East and Africa said: “This is excellent news for air travellers flying between Europe and the Middle East, offering them greater flexibility across the unmatched networks of two leading airlines committed to the highest levels of customer service.”
Tim Clark, Emirates` Chief Director Airline, said: “This code-share will
open up new opportunities for both carriers to offer passengers the best
possible connections and schedules.”
