British Airways has extended its telephone check-in facility to all longhaul flights from the UK.
Before it was available only to Executive Club members with hand baggage flying on UK domestic and European services, and other passengers in Club Europe or on Concorde.
But since last month it has been available to Executive Club members in First, Club World and World Traveller with hand baggage only, as well as other First and Club World passengers.
Customers can telephone British Airways for advance check-in between 3pm and 9pm the day before they fly, or at any time on the day. They can collect boarding cards 45 minutes before departure for First and Club World, and 60 minutes for World Traveller.
Boarding pass collection points have been set up at airports in the UK, and at Heathrow, in a three-month trial, First, Club World and Concorde passengers can go straight through ‘Fast Track’ and collect them in the lounge up to 45 minutes before departure.
Executive Card Holders can continue to use their dedicated reservations line, and they will be directed to their appropriate boarding card collection point.
This expanded service is part of the airline’s drive to improve customer service and choice and help ease capacity constraints at our airports.
