British Airways will provide over 100 teachers from the Heathrow area with Explore the world of IT school packs, when they visit Waterside on Monday 13 July 98.

Explore the world of IT has been developed to support aspects of the Key Stage 4 and post-16 curriculum, and draws upon the resources of British Airways to provide students with an insight into the ways in which information technology is used within the airlines. The pack consists of a twenty minute video with detailed teachers notes and uses the theme of holidays. The story line is based around a family and their experience of choosing a destination, booking a holiday and preparing for departure.

British Airways supports education in a variety of ways, mainly through national education-industry support bodies, involvement in work experience and provision of a wide range of help to schools local to British Airways bases.
