Gulf Air, the national carrier of Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar, has announced the appointments of John Butler as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, and Shane Oå‘Hare as General Manager of Marketing.
According to James Hogan, President & Chief Executive of Gulf Air, the appointments have been made as part of an effort to provide absolute customer satisfaction, and are indicative of the new direction the airline is embarking upon.
“A seasoned professional in the area of sales and marketing, John’s expertise comes from a 25-year background and an association with corporations with global operations,” said Mr Hogan. “John will be responsible for cultivating our distribution strategy among the travel trade and corporate accounts for all countries, and his specific experience in the corporate and leisure segment will be instrumental in creating and providing additional value to our existing products and services, as well as to new and exciting offerings which will be developed for all of our markets.”
“In his role as General Manager of Marketing, Shane O’Hare will report to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Shane has a wealth of experience and was previously the Director of Marketing & Brand Development for Star Alliance, the world’s leading aviation alliance. He will be responsible for developing and implementing brand development and marketing strategies system-wide,” he added.
