Gulf Air Appoints Head of Customer Services


Gulf Air, the national carrier of Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar, has appointed Peter Rowe to the newly created position of Head of Customer Services, as part of the companyå‘s restructuring and management review.


In announcing Peter Rowe’s appointment, James Hogan, President & Chief Executive of Gulf Air said:


“Gulf Air needs to become a more customer service driven carrier if it is to recapture its position as a world-class and leading airline in the region.  We must regain the same focus that once helped establish the airline as the chief innovator and standard setter for all passenger services.


“With a wealth of experience and a strong track record in delivering customer service excellence in highly competitive environments, I have every confidence that Peter will make a significant contribution to enhancing all areas of passenger service,” added Mr Hogan.


Peter Rowe has over 20 years of experience in senior operational and commercial aviation roles in the United Kingdom, Australia and United States, with airlines including Ansett and bmi.

As Head of Customer Services, Peter will oversee all systemwide airport operations, and will report to Luke Medley, Vice President Services.


The new role replaces the position of Ground Services, previously held by Peter Cross, who will remain in the customer services department and will assist on a project-by-project basis.
