The biggest ever round of World Offers kicks off today (September 2) with bargain flights to over 160 destinations worldwide.

Launched under a new version of the famous `Where is everybody?` advertising campaign, bargain fares will be available both within the UK and to more exotic destinations in the Caribbean, USA and Latin America, the Far East, Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

Fares are available from London to Barbados for £347, providing a saving of £195; to South Africa for £499, a saving of £177; to Mexico for £388, a saving of £125 or to Rio De Janeiro for £416, a saving of £176. Full list of fares attached.

On offer until September 29 for travel until the end of November, World Offers can be booked through local travel agents, British Airways Travel Shops, through the British Airways Telephone Sales office on 0345 222111 or on the British Airways web site on www.british-airways.com.

British Airways` Director of Sales, Dale Moss said “These fares will give people a fantastic opportunity to get a winter tan before the millennium celebrations begin. World Offers continue to be highly successful and extremely popular among leisure travellers.”

World Offers is supported by the biggest ever media campaign. A two week TV and print media campaign will be supported by1100 poster sites throughout the country and a direct mail drop of 100,000. Travel agents will be sent leaflets, posters and window displays in support of the campaign.
