Gulf Air, the national carrier of Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar, has announced the appointment of Luke Medley as Vice President of its newly created Services Division. 

“He is renowned in the service industry for his expertise in service delivery, and Luke will be responsible for reviewing and implementing exacting standards throughout our operational network,” said James Hogan, President & Chief Executive, Gulf Air. 

“The division will focus on improving cost and efficiencies related to airport, in-flight, catering and services delivery system-wide, and has been created as part of our process of restructuring the airline to return to profitability within three years,” added Mr. Hogan.

Previously Chief Executive Officer of Avis in the UK and Australia, and a former Ansett executive, Luke has several years experience and an excellent track record in strategic and innovative organisational leadership, brand and product management.  He has also been a keynote speaker for several international airlines and leisure organisations.
