ATLANTA, July 2, 2002—Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL), the Official Airline of the Atlanta Braves, is offering baseball fans and SkyMiles members an all-expense paid trip to New York, accommodations at the Braves team hotel, tickets to Braves games and thousands of frequent flier miles through the “Delta Getaway Game.”
The grand prize winner of the Delta Getaway Game and three guests will receive round-trip Delta tickets from Atlanta to New York’s LaGuardia airport to attend three Braves vs. New York Mets games on Sept. 27, Sept. 28 and Sept. 29, 2002, at Shea Stadium. Also included in the grand prize are two nights at the team’s hotel, a chance to meet Braves players prior to the game, attendance at Braves batting practice, day passes to Chelsea Piers, 10,000 miles and Delta/Braves merchandise.
In conjunction with the launch of the Delta Getaway Game, the airline will host Delta Night at Turner Field on July 6 when the Braves play the Chicago Cubs at 7:05 p.m. The first 45,000 fans to arrive will receive a Delta/Braves floppy hat.
