American Eagle Launches Service to Laredo
FORT WORTH, Texas - American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, is enhancing its service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Laredo. Beginning today, two of the five daily round-trip flights are served with 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 regional jets. The remaining flights continue to be operated with Saab turboprop aircraft.
“Regional jets allow American Eagle to offer passengers greater comfort and convenience, as well as a quieter trip,” said Tom Bacon, senior vice president - Planning and Marketing. “Our regional jets have proven to be very popular with customers and we’re pleased to upgrade service to the Laredo area.”
Featuring luxurious navy blue leather seats in a convenient “one-by-two” seating arrangement, the regional jets provide each passenger with an aisle or window seating—or both—as well as larger overhead bins, a closet for hanging bags and a spacious lavatory.
With a 264-aircraft fleet that includes more than 130 regional jets, American Eagle offers more than 1,400 daily flights to more than 130 cities throughout the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Mexico and the Caribbean. All of Eagle’s aircraft have reinforced cockpit doors for security and automatic external defibrillators to aid in in-flight medical emergencies. Members of American’s AAdvantage® frequent traveler program earn a minimum of 500 miles for every American Eagle flight.
