Incident On Board CityFlyer Zurich-Gatwick Flight

Police were called to attend an aircraft at Gatwick airport this evening (Monday, July 17) following a reported incident in-flight involving a passenger who was allegedly behaving in a threatening manner towards a female member of cabin crew.


Flight BA8106, operated by British Airways subsidiary CityFlyer Express, arrived at London Gatwick from Zurich at approximately 6.40pm.


The incident, which took place approximately 15 minutes before landing was quickly resolved through mediation with the captain.


There were 92 passengers and six crew on board. No-one was injured.


One man was arrested.

A reception area was set up at Gatwick South Terminal for passengers and they were met by customer service staff from British Airways and CityFlyer Express.


Brad Burgess, Managing Director of CityFlyer Express, praised the crew for their handling of the situation.
