British Airways Holidays Pledges Hurricane Protection

Hurricane Protection has been introduced to reassure holidaymakers concerned about booking a Caribbean holiday during the hurricane ‘season’.

With this guarantee, travellers will have peace of mind that should their holiday be disrupted by a hurricane, British Airways Holidays has a clear policy to protect their customers.

All tropical storm activity is tracked by the company’s 24-hour duty office using the services of Wilkens Weather technologies in Houston. This facility assists the company in predicting the path of the hurricane thus providing an early warning system.

Holidaymakers will be offered the option to return to the UK or to transfer to another holiday of equal value at no extra charge. All customers will also be offered ten per cent of their holiday cost in vouchers to be used against future travel with British Airways Holidays.

“Whilst the chance of holidays being affected by a hurricane is unlikely, we recognise that this can be of concern to our customers considering booking holidays to some Caribbean islands during the summer months.
