Lower Fares For British Business Travellers

British business travellers will be able to make significant savings on selected long haul flights as British Airways launches a wider choice of business fares, available from today.

Travellers who are able to plan their journeys in advance and commit to specific flights will be able to save up to 35 per cent.

The new value for money business fares will be introduced on services from London to: Cape Town, Dubai, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, New York (JFK and Newark), San Francisco, Seattle, Singapore, Tokyo and Vancouver plus Manchester to New York (JFK).

Tiffany Hall, British Airways’ Head of UK & Ireland Sales, said: “In an increasingly competitive market customers are seeking better value for money from business travel. We can now offer companies a much wider choice of business fares to suit their specific travel needs.

“We believe that the new fares will appeal particularly to cost-conscious business travellers such as small to medium-sized enterprises and leisure travellers who can now choose to pay less for premium travel by planning ahead.”

There are four new Club World fares:
á For those who need ultimate flexibility, the Multi Carrier fare offers the freedom to make unlimited changes to both flight times and airline.
á The British Airways’ Flexible fare also allows unlimited changes but is only valid on British Airways’ flights.
á For business passengers who are able to book and pay for their flight seven days in advance and travel on selected flights, the Premium Business Saver offers savings against the Multi Carrier fare of up to 27 per cent on a return Club World flight to Singapore, 19 per cent to Hong Kong, 18 per cent to Tokyo and 14 per cent to New York.
á For the growing premium leisure market, the Premium Leisure Saver fare can offer savings of 35 per cent on return Club World flights to Singapore and 28 per cent on flights to New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong, providing passengers can book and pay for their trip thirty days in advance and travel on specific flights.

Ms Hall added: “This move, together with the introduction of fully flat beds in Club World and the launch of our new premium economy class, World Traveller Plus, all demonstrate British Airways’ commitment to offer business customers more choice and excellent value for money.”

There are three new First Class fares including a First Premium Leisure Saver, which offers passengers savings ranging from 14 to 32 per cent if they are able to book and buy their ticket 30 days in advance.

These new fares follow the launch last month of a new range of domestic business fares and the introduction last December of permanently low year-round “Everyday” fares for leisure travellers.
