SERVICES RETURN TO NORMAL

British Airways’ services are returning to normal this morning (Wednesday March 21) following successful overnight maintenance work on its computerised check-in systems.

Over the next few days, further work will be undertaken to restore the system to its original state but this should have minimal impact on the airline’s flight schedule.

Airline staff have been working round the clock to minimise disruption to customers since the problem first manifested after a systems upgrade seven days ago.

A British Airways’ spokesman said: “We would like to say sorry to our customers for the inconvenience caused. The problem has now been fixed and we are returning to business as usual.”
