Southwest Airlines Names New Area Marketing Manager for Albany and Buffalo Regions


ALBANY, N.Y., June 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—Southwest Airlines
(NYSE: LUV) recently promoted Ana Schwager to area marketing manager for the
Albany and Buffalo regions.

Her primary responsibilities will involve corporate sales, special
promotions, community events, and some media relations.  Schwager will
coordinate these efforts from the airline`s office in Albany.

“I feel extremely fortunate to represent Southwest Airlines in the Capital
Region and Western New York,” said Schwager.  “I am excited to continue to
spread the word about Southwest`s low fares and outstanding Customer Service.”
Schwager is a native of Little Rock, Ark., and received her bachelor`s
degree in marketing communications from the University of Central Arkansas in
Conway, Ark.

Schwager joined the Southwest family in February 1995 as a reservation
sales agent in Little Rock.  She was promoted to reservation sales supervisor
in June 1995.  In August 2001, she joined the field marketing team as the
Albany/Buffalo marketing representative where she has been responsible for
inside sales, promotions, and brand enhancement efforts.  Schwager is active
in several charities in both Albany and Buffalo, including the Muscular
Dystrophy Association, Hands on Capitaland, and the Ronald McDonald House of
Western New York.

Southwest Airlines currently provides ten daily nonstop flights from
Albany to Baltimore/Washington, Las Vegas, and Orlando, with additional
service to 33 other cities.  Southwest also provides ten daily nonstop flights
from Buffalo to Baltimore/Washington, Las Vegas, Orlando, and Phoenix, with
additional service to 29 cities.
