(NYSE: AWA) today named Dion Flannery the airline`s vice president, route
planning and scheduling. Flannery`s responsibilities include schedule
planning, new market assessments, long-range planning, fleet assignment,
charter sales and service as well as strategic alliances and partnerships.
“Dion brings nearly a decade of experience in pricing and planning to
America West and we`re happy to welcome him to our team,” said Scott Kirby,
executive vice president, sales and marketing. “Dion`s role will be to
analyze and develop strategic market opportunities for the airline.”
Flannery has more than nine years of experience in the areas of
scheduling, pricing and revenue management. Prior to joining America West,
Flannery held positions of increasing responsibility with Continental
Airlines, most recently as senior director, long-range schedule planning and
Flannery earned a master of business administration, with a concentration
in finance, from the University of Houston and a bachelor of science in
advertising from the University of Texas at Austin.
