SWISS: Announcement by the Arbitration Court to be Made at a Later Date

13th Jun 2002

After today’s main hearing at the Arbitration Court concerning CCP, the pilots’ union, and SWISS, its decision concerning the parties concerned, together with the justification, will probably be announced within one month.

The Arbitration Court must decide whether or not the existing Collective Labour Agreement (CLA) contract with the former Crossair pilots was broken by the signature of a basic CLA contract with Aeropers, the former Swissair pilots’ union.

It is against this background that the SWISS Management calls upon the CCP Board to present the new basic CLA to its members for a decision. .For the former Crossair pilots, it represents a valuable offer and, in addition, contract improvements in addition to the binding improvements which were agreed upon in the year 2000, improved career possibilities and considerable economic benefits.
