CHICAGO, June 10, 2002 å- United Airlines announced today it will open a new Red Carpet Club in Terminal 2 at O`Hare International Airport in Chicago in late summer.
The new club, which will occupy about 4,800 square feet and offer seating for 70 customers, will be conveniently located near gate F-3 in Terminal 2.
“For those customers using Terminal 2, we are investing in the new Red Carpet Club which will provide a sanctuary near their flight gate to conduct business or relax. Its presence will make unnecessary a long journey to a club in Terminal 1,” said Christopher D. Bowers, senior vice president-marketing and sales. United has three clubs in Terminal 1 - two on the B concourse and another on the C concourse.
The private membership Red Carpet Clubs offer a calm oasis within the airport with comfortable seating, work carrels with business equipment, television, bar service and morning and late-afternoon snacks.
United operates more than 40 Red Carpet Clubs worldwide.
United operates nearly 2,000 flights daily on a route network that spans the globe.
