British Airways and Finnair, are expanding their current codesharing arrangements by adding destinations in South Africa, Canada, and the UK regions.
The Finnair code will be added to BA operated flights from London to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto.
British Airways will add its code to selected flights operated by Finnair. BA passengers travelling to Helsinki will have the option of travelling onwards to Oslo in Norway and Gothenburg in Sweden on Finnair services. These, in addition, connect with flights to Billund and Aarhus in Denmark which are operated by British Airways franchise Partner Sunair.
Additionally, passengers travelling with Finnair from Stockholm to Manchester will be able to travel onwards with British Airways to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
David Mc Donald, BA Alliances Development Manager for Finnair said: “We are pleased with this development which enhances our relationship with Finnair, and allows both carriers to offer passengers more seamless travel options within Europe and internationally.”
The current codesharing arrangement between the airlines includes destinations in northern and central Europe via Heathrow, and selected routes on each airlines domestic network.
