ATA Announces Service to New York and Phoenix To/From Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS—(BUSINESS WIRE)—June 3, 2002—Indianapolis-based ATA (American Trans Air, Inc.) (Nasdaq:AMTR) today announced plans to offer non-stop service to New York-LaGuardia and Phoenix beginning September 16. The carrier will offer two daily flights to/from New York and one flight daily to/from Phoenix, as well as connecting opportunities throughout the day via Chicago-Midway. In November, the carrier will further increase the number of scheduled service flights to/from Indianapolis International Airport to its most popular destinations in Florida and Las Vegas giving its hometown customers more service and schedule flexibility. Customers can book reservations to all of these destinations beginning today.

“There has been much customer demand in Indianapolis for service to New York and Phoenix and more flight frequencies to Florida and Las Vegas,” said Don Moonjian, ATA Vice President of Marketing. “Our business customers will especially find the flight schedule to New York convenient and flexible for their business travel needs. Leisure customers will discover that the new flight frequencies will provide more scheduling options when making their vacation plans.”

To kick-off the new service to New York-LaGuardia and Phoenix, ATA is offering special introductory fares. As with all ATA fares, there are no advance purchase or minimum stay requirements.
