Continental Airlines Announces Nonstop Service Between Houston and Montreal

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL)
tomorrow will begin nonstop service from its hub at Houston`s George Bush
Intercontinental Airport to Montreal`s Dorval International Airport, marking
the first-ever nonstop service between the two cities.
Flights from Houston to Montreal will operate daily through Oct. 30.
Service from Montreal to Houston, which begins June 2, will continue through
Oct. 31.
“For more and more Canadian travelers, Continental is proving to be the
carrier of choice,” said a Continental spokesperson.  “With convenient
connections through our hubs in Houston, New York and Cleveland, we offer
Canadians, especially those in the Montreal area, the highest levels of
service and convenience to destinations throughout the U.S. and around the
world.”
The new Houston-Montreal services link Montreal with dozens of cities in
the southern tier of the United States and in Latin America, a popular
destination among Canadians, particularly in summer.
Continental`s nonstop Montreal flights will be serviced with a 104-seat
Boeing 737-500 aircraft.  Continental Express also serves Montreal with four
daily flights to New York/Newark and three daily flights to Cleveland.
Continental also announced today its Continental Connection affiliate
CommutAir will begin new nonstop service June 17 between CommutAir`s hub in Albany, New York, and Montreal with up to four flights a day.  A modified
schedule may be operated during off-peak periods.
Services between Albany and Montreal will be flown by the 19-seat Beech
1900 turboprop aircraft with well-timed connections to 12 key Northeast
business centers.
In addition to Montreal, Continental and Continental Express offer daily
service to Quebec, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
CommutAir, based in Plattsburgh, N.Y., has served the Northeast as a
regional airline since 1989.  The company has more than 200 employees and
currently serves 16 cities throughout New York, Pennsylvania and the New
England states.  CommutAir is partially employee owned through an employee
stock ownership plan.
Continental Airlines is the fifth largest airline in the U.S., offering
more than 2,100 departures daily to 120 domestic and 91 international
destinations.  Operating hubs in New York, Houston, Cleveland and Guam,
Continental serves more international cities than any other U.S. carrier,
