ARLINGTON, Va., May 29, 2002—US Airways announced today that it will begin new nonstop services from Charlotte to the Caribbean destinations of Belize and Providenciales in November 2002, following approval of its applications for route authority by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Service between US Airways` Charlotte hub and Providenciales, part of the Turks and Caicos Islands, will launch on November 2, and Charlotte-Belize flights will start one week later on November 9, both with four flights weekly using new Airbus A319 aircraft.

Providenciales flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, departing Charlotte at 10:50 a.m., and arriving at 1:35 p.m. Return service will depart Providenciales at 2:45 p.m., and will arrive in Charlotte at 5:35 p.m.
