LOT On Top Again

During ceremonies which were held at Le Meridien Grosvenor Hotel in London, LOT Polish Airlines received for the second time the prestigious award “Best Airline Based in Eastern Europe 2002” å- handed out by OAG. Once again, LOT found itself among the worldå‘s best airlines.
This was the 19th ceremony during which OAG handed out prestigious “Airline of the Year” awards, including the categories of best airline, best first class, best business/economic class for long and short haul, best airline in a given part of the world, best frequent flyer programme, best airport and best Internet page.
Selections are based on votes cast throughout the world by subscribers of all printed and electronic informational services published by OAG. Hence, these awards are even more valuable when considering that they are based on the opinions of frequent travelers, particularly persons flying business class. Voters turned their attention to the quality of in-flight service, professionalism, promptness, quality of meals etc. Among the competition of many airlines, LOT once again best fulfilled these expectations.
In 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 the British magazine, Business Travel World, named LOT the “International Business Airline, Eastern Europe”. In 2001 LOT received Business Traveller’s award of “Best Central and Eastern European Airline” for the fourth time.
