Delta Air Lines Expands Codeshare Service to Africa with SkyTeam Partner Air France

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) has expanded its codeshare relationship with SkyTeam partner Air France to Niamey, Niger effective today (May 9, 2002). Delta customers will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to travel beyond Paris on Air France’s Thursday service from Paris to Niamey and its Friday service from Niamey to Paris.

With the start of this new service, Delta will codeshare with Air France, Royal Air Maroc and South African Airways to 30 destinations in 20 African countries.

Delta and Air France continue to expand their SkyTeam alliance relationship using Paris’ Charles de Gaulle International Airport. The two carriers codeshare on each others’ flights to Paris from Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Houston (Bush Intercontinental) , Los Angeles, Miami, New York (JFK & Newark), Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. (Dulles) to Paris.

Top-tier flyers with the SkyTeam airlines (Air France, Aeromèxico, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta and Korean Air) receive elite status on all member airline flights. Additionally, all SkyTeam member airline frequent flyers accrue miles and redeem awards on any of the six airlines.
