Continental Airlines Announces Twice-Daily Nonstop Oklahoma City Service To New York/Newark

OKLAHOMA CITY, May 9 /PRNewswire/—Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL)
today announced that it will introduce Oklahoma City`s only nonstop service to
the New York City area when it launches two daily roundtrips from Will Rogers
World Airport to Continental`s major hub at New York/Newark, effective Nov. 1.

The new Continental Express service aboard the latest version of Embraer`s
fast, quiet 50-passenger ERJ-145 ExpressJet, features a comfortable interior
with only window and aisle seating.  The new Oklahoma City-New York/Newark
service complements the carrier`s five daily, nonstop flights to its Houston
hub at Bush Intercontinental Airport.

“We`re confident that Central Oklahoma business travelers will respond
enthusiastically to the speed and convenience of nonstop service to the New
York area`s premier airport and only airline hub,” said Continental Senior
Vice President Scheduling, Glen Hauenstein.  “With monorail service from the
terminal door and direct train service to midtown Manhattan, Newark
International Airport offers the fastest, most convenient and economical
transfer to New York City.”

The daily, nonstop flights will depart Oklahoma City at 11:55 a.m.,
arriving in New York/Newark at 4:05 p.m., and at 6:50 p.m., arriving at
10:59 p.m.  The return flights depart New York/Newark at 9 a.m., arriving in
Oklahoma City at 11:25 a.m., and at 3:55 p.m., arriving at 6:20 p.m.

“The addition of Continental Express`s nonstop service to Newark will be
an enormous asset to the city,” said Oklahoma City Mayor Kirk Humphreys.
“This is one more positive step in moving Oklahoma City forward.”

“This is an excellent addition to air service in the Oklahoma City
market,” says airport director Luther Trent.  “It certainly enhances the fine
service already provided by Continental and Continental Express Airlines and
will be a great benefit to our travelers, not just to New York City, but to
domestic and international destinations, as well.”

Oklahoma City`s first scheduled daily departure, with a 4:05 p.m. in New
York, provides easy connections to an extensive bank of nonstop flights to top
transatlantic business destinations, including London, Paris, Frankfurt,
Amsterdam, Glasgow, Manchester and Zurich.

Continental will have a range of fares on the new route which are
comparable to existing fares in the market.  Currently the lowest fare is a
non-refundable, 14-day advance purchase ticket of $350 round trip, including
taxes and fees (seats are limited).

Continental and Continental Express offer more than 300 daily departures
and nonstop service to 119 domestic and international cities from New
York/Newark—the second of Continental`s three domestic hubs to offer all-
jet flying, assuring customers with connecting flights of consistent and
comfortable travel aboard the industry`s youngest jet fleet.
