MINNEAPOLIS å- (May 1, 2002) å- Northwest Airlines today unveiled 3 new frequent flier mileage bonus offers that reward customers for signing up for Northwestå‘s NWA E-mail, flying to, from or through the airlineå‘s Memphis hub, or for purchasing their tickets online at nwa.com, the airlineå‘s Web site. The airline also announced that customers who redeem their WorldPerks frequent flier miles at nwa.com will continue to receive discounts of up to 3,000 miles on the number of miles needed for travel awards.
Between now and September 30, 2002, Northwest is awarding new subscribers up to 2,000 miles simply for signing up for NWA E-mail. NWA E-mail provides customers with an additional service by delivering information on fare sales at Northwest, weekly “CyberSavers” deals, WorldVacations package discounts and other offers directly to them.
Since its inception, Northwest has used the selections made through NWA E-mail to craft some of the most highly valued promotions and offers for its customers. NWA E-mail has grown into one of the key communications links between the airline and its customers.

In recognition of the return of Northwest’s evening schedule from its convenient Memphis hub, for the first time, Northwest is offering double frequent flier miles on entire one-way itineraries within the 50 United States and Canada that include travel through Memphis, Tenn. Effective June 7, Northwest will offer travelers an additional choice of flights between more than 50 cities throughout the U.S., through one of the most convenient airline hubs in the South.
Travel on any Northwest or Northwest Airlink-operated flights between June 7, 2002, and August 7, 2002, qualifies. Specific terms and conditions apply and advance registration is required. Online buyers will receive 500 bonus miles for subsequent purchases occurring between May 1, 2002, and September 30, 2002. Customers who have previously purchased at nwa.com will be eligible for the 500-bonus mile offer.
