Barbara Cassani Wins Business Woman of the Year

Barbara Cassani, chief executive of Go, has won the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year award.

Barbara has built up Go from scratch, and having begun operations from London Stansted in May 1998, the company has expanded to nearly 900 employees, serving 38 routes throughout Europe.

Go has opened bases in Bristol International and more recently East Midlands, and in the last four years has brought low fares to eight and a half million people throughout the UK and Europe.

In June 2001 Barbara led a management buyout from British Airways.

Barbara Cassani said: `I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of everyone at Go who has worked tremendously hard in the last four years to build the airline into the successful company it is today.
