easyJet has joined up with Gatwick Express, the rapid rail-air link between London Victoria and Gatwick Airport, to offer its passengers the opportunity to buy Gatwick Express tickets at preferential rates. easyJet customers will be able to save up to £7 off normal fares when they book rail tickets online at easyJet.com immediately after purchasing their easyJet flight to or from London Gatwick.
The pricing of the Gatwick Express tickets has been split into two tiers, offering larger savings to passengers booking their trip eight weeks or more in advance. However travellers can still benefit from reduced fares for bookings less than eight weeks ahead.
Rail tickets must be purchased online by credit card immediately after the easyJet flight to or from London Gatwick have been purchased through easyJet.com. Tickets can be collected by passengers from any of the ticket machines located at London Victoria or Gatwick Airport. The machine will either recognise the booking by the credit card or by the customer entering a reference number, if a different credit card is used on collection.
Ray Webster, the airline`s chief executive, said;
“As people`s travelling habits become more adventurous, so do their expectations of the service that gets them from A to B. easyJet customers are sophisticated in their approach to researching and booking a holiday or business trip and as a result we have been looking for opportunities to offer additional added-value services to ensure their trip is smooth and stress free.
“Gatwick Express offers our passengers a fast and efficient service and, with our online discounts, it is even better value to travel with the web`s favourite airline.”
