US Airways Joins the Commission Structure Change

ARLINGTON, Va., March 21, 2002—US Airways announced today that, effective immediately, it no longer will pay a base commission for tickets issued by travel agents in the United States (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) and Canada.

The change applies to all tickets for domestic and international travel, Miscellaneous Charges Order (MCO), Prepaid Ticket Advice (PTA) and Internet bookings. The change does not affect the base commission policy for tickets purchased outside of the United States and Canada.

US Airways will have no further comment on this matter.
