Delta Air Lines Maintains Designated Premium Security Lines in Select Cities

21st Feb 2002

Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced it will maintain its designated premium security lines at airport facilities in Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, Dallas, New York (JFK International, Newark and LaGuardia) and Salt Lake City. The designated security lines are available to Platinum Medallion and Gold Medallion flyers, Crown Room Club members and for Delta customers traveling in First Class or BusinessElite.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) today reconfirmed that airlines can configure security lines as each carrier deems appropriate so long as there is a consistent flow of customers to the TSA security checkpoints.

“This decision reflects the commitment of Delta and the Transportation Security Administration to meeting the mutually critical goals of providing outstanding security and first-rate customer service,” said Vicki Escarra, Delta’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
