Go today announces the appointment of Richard Baker as non-Executive Director.

Richard is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of ASDA Stores Limited, the UK division of Walmart Inc, and has been on the Executive Board there since 1999. He joined the Company in July 1995, prior to which, he was the Sales and Marketing Director for Mars Ice Cream.

Barbara Cassani, chief executive of Go, said: `Richard`s appointment is another sign of Go`s commitment to low prices and building a strong business. Both ASDA and Walmart have a track record of success as discounters. Richard will add tremendously to our Board as we continue our preparations for IPO.`
