easyJet launches flights to Malaga and Majorca from London Gatwick

Today marks the start of two more new easyJet routes to Spain, with the launch of flights to Malaga and Majorca (Palma) from London Gatwick, further reinforcing the airline`s position as a top carrier between Spain and the UK.
On both routes, easyJet will operate two flights a day in each direction, offering an excellent service to passengers for whom London Gatwick is a more convenient airport.

easyJet is a top airline for scheduled flights between the UK and Spain, offering a total of 11 routes to four Spanish destinations across three UK airports. The airline offers frequent daily services to Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga and Majorca from both London Luton and Liverpool, and to Barcelona, Malaga and Majorca from London Gatwick. In fact easyJet is the only low-cost airline to fly to the Spanish capital from the UK.
The popularity of the airline`s great-value flights to Spain is indicated by the latest official CAA data regarding passenger numbers between the UK and Spain. In the 12 months between December 2000 and November 2001, easyJet carried a total of 1,476,503 passengers, making it the second largest overall carrier behind BA (including all their franchises), and the most popular low-cost airline.
