has announced that travel agents can now access and book Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL) on Amadeus Cruise, the companyå‘s å‘point and clickå’ browser-based tool that allows agents to most efficiently and effectively book cruises.
Using Amadeus Cruise, agents in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean will be now be able to book any cruise within Carnival`s inventory, which includes voyages ranging from two to 17 days in length to the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, New England, Canada, Bermuda and Europe.
“Amadeus Cruise offers almost 75% of the cruise lines that participate in any GDS today,” said Bob Lowry, Vice President of Product Management and Customer Support for Amadeus North America. Lowry also said that by using the company’s standalone version of Amadeus Cruise, the first and only tool of its kind offered by a GDS, any U.S. travel agency can sell cruise packages right from their desktop using the Internet, regardless of their location or GDS affiliation.
Amadeus Cruise is now available to Amadeus travel agents in 24 markets worldwide with continuing global expansion planned. Since its launch, Amadeus has implemented more than 5,600 travel agencies on Amadeus Cruise.
