Delta Air Lines is giving free Palm VII? handhelds to U.S. customers who purchase their transoceanic BusinessElite or BusinessElite U.S. tickets online at the airline’s Web site (www.delta-air.com).

“We are delighted to offer this exciting online promotion to our BusinessElite customers,” said Bill Reeves, Delta’s general manager of e-Commerce. “Wireless devices such as the Palm VII handheld give customers on the go speedy access to their Delta itineraries, up-to-the-minute flight arrival/departure information, and worldwide schedules from virtually anywhere.”

To participate in this special online promotion, customers must purchase their tickets between May 15 and May 26, 2000. All travel must be completed by August 31, 2000. There is a limit of one Palm VII per customer. Complete terms and conditions are located at the airline’s Web site.

Delta recently announced that it is expanding its premium BusinessElite service on transcontinental flights between New York-JFK and Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego, as well as between Boston and Los Angeles. SkyMiles members, who purchase their tickets online, will receive an additional 1,000 bonus miles.
