Go`s Full-Year Operating Profits Up 300%

has announced that full-year operating profits are up 300%.

Operating profits in the year to the end of March were £17 million, up from £4.2 million last year. Turnover was up 46% to £233.7 million and passenger numbers increased by 55% to 4.27 million.

 

Go experienced a 20% drop in passenger numbers immediately after September 11, but bookings recovered steadily afterwards.

Commenting on the results, Chief executive Barbara Cassani
said: “These are tremendous results for Go. This strong performance, continuing month over month, is reflected in April`s traffic figures, with a 79% increase in passengers year-on-year.”

 

She added: “I am proud of everyone at Go for building such a successful business.”

 

The company is currently at an advanced stage in talks

with easyJet over a possible takeover.
