iHotelier to Provide GDS Connectivity

, a division of Webvertising, Inc., has successfully completed a seamless connection via the Pegasus
Ultraswitch System to the major Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) and the vast network of Pegasus Powered Sites (ODD).
iHotelier has obtained final certification from Pegasus and all four major GDSs and as of May 1, 2002, has commitments from 30 of its more than 300 hotel clients to be represented on the iHotelier WV chain code.

iHotelier has been helping hotels on the Web since 1994.  By backward integrating into the pre-Internet world of the GDSs from its iHotelier Central Reservation System (CRS), iHotelier now provides single image inventory`s the ability to manage inventory allotment and rate plan offerings from one system for multiple types of users (Individuals, Corporations and Associations, Travel Agents, Group Attendees and Meeting Planners) and distribution channels.  Seamless connectivity gives the worldwide network of offline and online travel agencies the ability to receive immediate confirmations made through the iHotelier CRS.

Today, hotels not only have to efficiently manage their direct-to-customer sales, but a large number of indirect channels.  Not managing this complex distribution network efficiently can pose significant branding and financial risks.  Seamless GDS connectivity is a major step towards iHotelier`s vision to provide the most comprehensive electronic distribution system and the most powerful set of integrated applications and services to hotels across the world.
iHotelier`s 8 years of Internet experience and deep hotel operational knowledge allow the company to offer superior customer service to its clients
