Sabre Appoints Eric J. Speck as Chief Marketing Officer

(NYSE: TSG) has announced that Eric J. Speck has been appointed to the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately.

Speck replaces Sam Gilliland, who was named today as the president and CEO of Travelocity. As Chief Marketing Officer, Speck will now be responsible for Sabre`s corporate strategy and for driving enterprise alignment with Sabre`s business strategy. Speck, who has been an officer of Sabre since 1997, had previously served as Sabre`s Executive Vice President and President of the company`s Travel Marketing and Distribution business unit.


In addition, Sabre also announced that John S. Stow was appointed to the position of President of the Travel Marketing and Distribution business unit. Stow, who was previously Senior Vice President and President of Sabre`s Travel Agency Solutions group, will now be responsible for the business unit, which includes the Sabre global distribution system business. Through his career, he served as senior vice president and general manager for Sabre electronic travel distribution. He also served as senior vice president of North America sales and service. Stow earned a bachelor`s degree in operations research and statistics from California State University in Long Beach.
