Bookings Increase on Patheo-Created Consolidator Shopper From Amadeus

Patheo
, a leading technology company for the leisure travel industry, and Amadeus
, a leading global
distribution system (GDS) and travel industry technology provider, today
announced dramatic booking increases on the Patheo-created Consolidator
Shopper product.
The 30% month over month increases for the first quarter of
this year are expected to continue driven in part by the zero commission trend
on published fares.

This consolidator fare-shopping product is the first and only
browser-based consolidator-shopping program that allows any travel agent,
regardless of GDS affiliation, to sell tickets from the databases of eight
well-known consolidators.  Of the more than 10,0000 current users, nearly 40%
are non-Amadeus travel agencies.

“We are pleased to support Amadeus in their trend-setting endorsement of
the automation of the consolidator fare market,” said Salman Hasan
, president
and CEO of Patheo.  “We can see from the quick adoption rate and the continued
increase in bookings that Consolidator Shopper is the right tool for travel
agents seeking to streamline their consolidator fare purchases and increase
their revenue.”

“Consolidator Shopper is a product that will continue to be a success
because it taps into a previously difficult marketplace and makes the entire
process much easier and much more cost effective for both the shopper and the
seller,” said Bob Lowry, vice president of product management and customer
service for Amadeus North America.  “We`ve worked very closely with Patheo on
this product and we are pleased with the results as are our customers.”
