Worldspan Names Peg Cassidy VP & Associate General Counsel

Worldspan
today announced the promotion
of Worldspan attorney Margaret K. Cassidy to the position of Vice President
and Associate General Counsel. 
In addition to her new role as a company
officer, Cassidy will continue to represent Worldspan in strategic e-commerce
relationships, international distributorships and subsidiaries, airline
hosting and subscription contracts, interactive TV agreements, global network
agreements, and international trade and regulatory matters.  She also oversees
Worldspan patents, trademarks and copyrights, plus human resources, benefits
and compliance programs.
 
  Based at the company`s world headquarters in Atlanta, Cassidy reports to
Doug Abramson, Senior Vice President - Human Resources, General Counsel and
Secretary for Worldspan.
 
“In her 12 years at Worldspan, Peg Cassidy has developed a high level of
expertise in the legal strategies governing global distribution systems and
e-commerce, helping Worldspan forge strong partnerships with many of the most
prominent names in Internet, wireless and interactive travel distribution,”
commented Abramson in making the announcement.  “Her promotion to vice
president and associate general counsel recognizes not only her long list of
accomplishments but the enormous dedication and hard work Peg has invested at
Worldspan.”
 
Cassidy joined Worldspan as an attorney in 1990, responsible initially for
negotiating technology agreements and later for guiding many of Worldspan`s
biggest e-commerce and global network agreements.  Previously, as an associate
in the law firm of Alston & Bird LLP in Atlanta, she worked with clients in
developing employee benefit programs.  Cassidy began her career as an attorney
with Barnes & Thornburg, a large corporate law firm in South Bend, Indiana.
