Extensity Selected for Showcase of Leading-Edge Business and Travel Technology

Extensity, Inc. today announced that it had been selected to participate in The Continuum(sm), a research and development laboratory designed to showcase the future of business travel, telecommunications, and related technology. Established by Rosenbluth International, the travel management company with the second largest presence worldwide, The Continuum is a collaborative, interdisciplinary project bringing together leading-edge travel-related companies to generate new ideas and research integrated business solutions. Extensityç Expense Reports, a 100% Web-based travel and expense reporting solution, uses Web technology to provide CFOs with highly efficient travel expense management and reporting within a streamlined 90-day implementation timeframe.

Located at Rosenbluth International’s world headquarters in Philadelphia, The Continuum is a unique interactive, multimedia travel technology research facility that has been described as a cross between a think tank and Epcot Center. The Continuum gathers feedback on current practices as well as new products and services by leading visitors through a “virtual trip” featuring the latest technologies for streamlining costs and improving productivity. Over a dozen leading travel-related companies currently participate in the center, including AT&T, British Airways, Hertz, Lucent Technologies, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and VISA.

“At the beginning of this year, Rosenbluth International announced a strategic alliance with Extensity to offer its product to our clients, and we are excited to demonstrate Extensity’s outstanding expense management product in The Continuum,” says Danamichele Brennen O’Brien, vice president and chief travel scientist, Rosenbluth International.

Extensityç Expense Reports uses 100% Pure Javaç and a next-generation Web-based architecture to replace outdated manual, paper-based processes with a highly efficient automated system for reporting, auditing, reimbursing, and managing travel-related costs. The application combines streamlined deployment, as underscored by the company’s 90-day Extensity Expressç Guaranteed Implementation Plan, with dramatic bottom-line cost savings, to deliver fast return on investment.

“The Continuum is making an important contribution to the business travel industry,” says Extensity Founder, President, and CEO Sharam Sasson. “Today’s advanced technologies offer companies huge opportunities for streamlining costs and increasing process efficiencies in their business travel policies, and The Continuum provides vital two-way communication between the leading-edge vendors in this market and the customers we serve. Extensity is honored to play a role in this project, and we look forward to studying the research The Continuum yields as we move forward in future product development efforts.”
