Online Booking from Ultramar and GetThere

New York-based Ultramar Travel Management and GetThere, a Sabre Company, today announced an agreement that provides Ultramar Travel Management?fs small and medium sized clients, whose travel budgets represent up to $15 million in annual air spend, the ability to use private-label booking sites to make business trips online.  Ultramar has also created a way for traveler profile information and booking activity to synchronize with all Ultramar travel management systems.

Ultramar developed its One Profile, One Place technology with GetThere to automatically synchronize online and offline travel systems after a traveler enters profile information through the online booking site.  This capability ensures Ultramar?fs online systems, mid-office systems, and agents always have the most up-to-date traveler profile information.  It also lets travelers manage their profile and book business trips from a single online source, rather than filling out additional forms or making extra calls to the agency.

Ultramar has launched its first GetThere / One Profile, One Place installation with BlackRock Financial in New York.  BlackRock expects to manage the online portion of its $4 million annual air spend using the new technology.
