Delta passengers can now check weather conditions for destination cities directly from the airline`s Web site, through a new partnership with weather.com.
The partnership also provides customized weather content for Delta`s Gate Information Display Screens (GIDS); MYOBTravel, delta.com ticket confirmation e-mails and DeltaNet, Delta`s employee Intranet.

According to Forrester Research, an August 2001 Online Green field survey of 10,000 consumers revealed that 70% of U.S. Leisure Bookers researched weather information online, as part of their leisure travel planning. Forrester Research also indicates—in a March 2002 report on Segmenting Business Travelers—online business travelers research weather travel information at least 58% of the time, when planning a trip.
