Excambria to Market Self-Booking Tool

Excambria, Inc. has signed an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with TravelGuide Software to embed Margin Maker v2.0 Internet and consolidator search and booking technology into TravelCenter, one of the most popular corporate self-booking tools.
This latest version of TravelCenter is the first corporate self-booking tool to incorporate low-priced Internet fares and consolidator fares.
The companies will jointly market the new offering, under the TravelCenter and Margin Maker Enterprise Suite names. The product is currently in testing and will be available to existing TravelGuide Software and Excambria clients in May 2002. A general roll-out of the product will follow in the third quarter of 2002. The companies will also offer TravelCenter modules for use by corporate travel managers and the corporation`s travel agency.

The patent-pending Margin Maker v2.0 family of products allows travel agents and corporate travel buyers to simultaneously access content through the legacy GDS such as Sabre
and through the Internet, where travel suppliers are increasingly putting content that is not in the GDS. While the travel professional continues to work in his native GDS environment, Margin Maker v2.0 technology translates the GDS commands into Internet protocol and searches websites and other TCP/IP-connected data sources. The technology allows the travel professional to view on a single screen, with regular GDS commands, content from the GDS, the Internet, and third-party databases. The inventory and fares are displayed side by side on a single screen, allowing travel professionals to select the inventory and price that create the maximum value for their clients and themselves.
