introduced new functionality to support Ticketing Fulfillment Locations, allowing Worldspan travel agencies to reduce operating expenses by centralizing ticket printing within a single location.
Created by the Airline Reporting Corporation
(ARC), Ticketing Fulfillment Location (TFL) permits travel agencies to establish branch offices dedicated exclusively to printing tickets for all or some of an agency`s ARC-approved locations.
“By reducing the need to provide ticket fulfillment services at every location, TFL enables Worldspan subscribers, particularly our larger agencies, to cut overhead costs while delivering the same high level of service to their clients,” commented Mike Parks
, senior vice president and general manager - Worldwide Travel Distribution for Worldspan. “As one of the first global distribution systems to develop a TFL product, Worldspan continues to take the lead in meeting today`s evolving distribution requirements.”
Phase One of ARC`s TFL program permits consolidation of ticket stock, while subsequent phases will also permit consolidation of ticket printers. From the outset, agencies operating TFLs can expect to realize the benefits of reduced reliance on ticket stock in each separate location, as well as potential savings on other overhead costs associated with individualized ticket fulfillment.
TFL functionality is available to Worldspan travel agencies throughout the United States.
