Kaba Ilco, formerly Ilco Unican, is pleased to announce that it has signed an ongoing strategic partnership agreement with Choice Hotels International (NYSE:CHH).

Under the agreement, Choice franchisees will benefit from pre-negotiated pricing when they acquire Kaba Ilco`s electronic lock systems, and key accessories, from keycards to stand-alone locks.

In the past year, Kaba Ilco has implemented a scalable approach to its popular Solitaire system. With the new scalable Solitaire system, the purchaser can choose the finish or split finish that fits their budget—painted, plated or ultra (a satin PVD finish on a brass shell), the ultimate in quality and durability. (Kaba Ilco manufactures and finishes its own zinc alloy lock housings and brass shells at its foundry in Montreal, Canada.) Also new this year is the SolitaireSMART lock, which is equipped with the flexibility of both contact smart card and magnetic-stripe reader technologies. Kaba Ilco also offers a number of value-added lodging industry accessories such as in-room safes and custom-printed keycards.
