Travel.com.au has said it is expecting a 150% increase in online advertising revenues in calendar year 2002.

Travel.com.au reported a net loss of $3.582 million for the six months to December 31, 2001, compared to a net loss of $4.337 million for the previous corresponding period.


Directors said its sales fell 12.3% in the half year to $59 million and added, ?gIn a difficult trading environment, with September 11 and the Ansett collapse in the December half, TVL has recorded a loss.?h


TVL said it maintains its forecast of a near break even result for 2001/02 (excluding depreciation and amortisation and significant unusual non-cash items), compared to a negative $4.83 million for 2000/01.
