Continental Express Selects Spirent Software

Continental Express and information management solutions provider, Spirent Systems (San Diego) have signed a contract for the implementation of Spirent`s new integrated Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) software solution called AuRA.
AuRA will be implemented across the entire Continental Express operation, including Maintenance, Engineering, Materials and Purchasing. There will be in excess of 1,000 end users across the country, managing the existing fleet of 168 aircraft, in addition to the five new Embraer aircraft Continental Express will be taking delivery of throughout 2002 and 2003. Detailed configuration management and the tracking of all parts and serial numbers will allow Continental Express to have full visibility and cost control over their entire fleet.

Developed specifically to meet the needs of the commercial airline MRO market, AuRA is a synergistic, integrated solution, covering both maintenance and supply. AuRA streamlines aviation business processes and tackles some of the most complex challenges facing maintenance operations, such as configuration management. A highly flexible solution, AuRA can be customized to an airline`s preferences and tailored to the organization`s unique structure and enterprise model, interfacing as necessary with ERP and legacy systems.
