Worldspan has entered into a long-term agreement with Orbitz, extending Worldspan`s role as the preferred GDS for Orbitz.
The new agreement expands and strengthens a technology partnership between the two companies that began with the highly successful launch of the Orbitz site in June 2001.

Under the contract, Worldspan will continue to provide transaction processing services for air and car reservations booked through Orbitz on suppliers that do not have direct-connect agreements with the site. The agreement also includes provisions enabling hotel bookings through Worldspan hotel technology, an important “first” in the Worldspan-Orbitz relationship.
